Planet started life in 1989 as Planet Design Company. Since then, the firm has evolved into an all-media machine that offers strategic communication in the form of graphic design, advertising, interactive media, and film/video/motion graphics.

Planet's focus is passion-based brands, particularly in the fields of outdoor sports, fashion, furniture/interiors, and the arts.

Current clients include Trek/Gary Fisher mountain bikes, Teva footwear, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, Whole Foods Market, Intelligentsia Coffee, PunchStock & UpperCut Images, 3form architectural materials, and American Players Theatre.

Creative Directors Kevin Wade, Dana Lytle, and John Besmer are the principals of the 29-person firm. Rob Sax serves as President and Brand Management Director.
