AdForum launches the first “vertical” creative ranking

Annual reports on the world's most-awarded campaigns are a familiar element of our business. But the new AdForum Business Creative Report is a new spin on the form: it lists the year’s most successful ads by industry sector.

The debut report covers seven sectors: Automotive, Food & Beverages, Luxury, Transport & Tourism, Health & Beauty, Retail, and Banking/Insurance.

Now agencies, clients or interested observers can easily see which ads and agencies performed best in a chosen sector. The top ten most-awarded campaigns and top five best-performing agencies are listed in each case.

AdForum CEO Philippe Paget says: “To our knowledge this is first time a global creative ranking has offered an insight into the best performing campaigns in individual market segments. We believe that dividing the year’s most successful work into silos offers considerable benefits to CMOs, agencies and consultants.

He added that more industry sectors might be included in subsequent reports.

The rankings are gleaned from the results of the many awards shows with which AdForum has a partnership, including Cannes, D&AD, the Clios, the Epica Awards, the One Show, the LIA, Eurobest, Adfest, Dubai Lynx, Cristal, ADC* Europe, the FAB Awards, the World Luxury Award, the EACA Care Awards – and more.
