Jayne Agency (jayneagency.com), a strategic creative agency helping small to mid-sized and diverse businesses grow through brand clarity, today announced that its “Give Back” program has successfully provided brand strategy education and guidance to more than 1,400 businesses disproportionately impacted by the Coronavirus. In five months of the pandemic, the agency delivered more than $10MM in brand strategy services and education across the diverse supply chain complimentarily, in an effort to fuel economic equity and justice for all. Jayne partnered with a range of organizations focused on elevating the diverse supply chain, reaching certified diverse suppliers and corporate members of WBDC, WBCS, WBDC-WEST, WIM, Enterprising Women, HCCSTL, DFWMSDC, Eaton, WE USA Magazine and NANOE.

Across the spectrum of small and diverse businesses, the Coronavirus pandemic and corresponding economic crisis have had a devastating effect. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, minority-owned business owners are more likely than non-minority owners to report difficulty obtaining loans, express fears about permanently closing, and predict declining revenues in the coming year. Women-owned small businesses have been more heavily impacted than male-owned small businesses, with less optimistic revenue, investment and hiring plans compared to male-owned small businesses, in addition to getting shut out of PPP loans and managing childcare. 15% of veterans work in industries hit hardest by the financial impact of the coronavirus (CNBC).

Because most of Jayne’s business serves certified diverse suppliers or diverse conscious supply chains, the agency saw firsthand how companies owned by women, minorities, veterans, LGBTQ and the disabled were struggling to navigate the business upheaval caused by COVID-19.

“When the pandemic hit, we observed severe inequities hitting the businesses and brands we supported across time, resources, education and financial access to weather the pandemic storm,” said Brooke Foley, CEO & Founder of Jayne Agency. “From struggling to secure PPP loans to seeing their entire go-to-market channels eviscerated, our clients along with so many other small, diverse businesses, faced a dire situation. We realized that the best way to help was to drive as much high quality brand strategy education in the fastest way possible, with the least amount of effort in the shortest period of time. By helping as many businesses as possible understand the fundamental 10 assets needed for brand clarity, we could help hundreds of businesses figure out how to navigate multiple economic swings, while also establishing a baseline for scalable, dependable, repeatable revenue,” Foley added.

According to Margo Posey, President and CEO of the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council, Jayne Agency’s strategy workshops provide critical counsel for diverse businesses to ground themselves in brand fundamentals and go to market with clarity amid the shifting business landscape.

"The fundamental challenge that many DFW MSDC-certified MBEs attendees face is that it is incredibly difficult to get in front of the right people. Minority businesses struggled with this reality before COVID, but the barriers are even worse during the pandemic. Owners had to relook at their businesses and determine how to deal with external market forces. What was relevant 10 months ago most likely is not what their business needs now. When marketing to corporations or the public sector, the key is to be able to articulate what you can do to help provide solutions to them in a tight and crisp way. No matter where you are in the business cycle, Jayne Agency's brand strategy workshop helps attendees ground themselves in their true, real sweet spot with tangible, actionable takeaways on how to strategically go to market while navigating the challenges posed by 'the New Now'."  said Posey.
