Ogilvy UK won the top prize at the Oystercatchers’ Awards last night, which recognise excellence across the industry, showcasing how agencies deliver growth and creativity for their clients.

Judged by a panel of global brand marketing experts, Ogilvy UK had been shortlisted in five of the nine categories, namely Large Agency of the Year, Best Large Agency Culture, Best Agency Marketing (for their world-leading Behavioural Science festival Nudgestock), Best Agency Credentials and Champion for Change (Shelina Janmohamed).

The Oystercatcher’s Award judges included Barclaycards’ Paul Alexander, Benefit Cosmetics’ Lou Bennett, Getir’s Nick Casby, BBC’s Jane Callingham, Octopus’ Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, Post Office’s Laura Joseph, The AA’s Mark Felix, Waitrose’s Martin George, UK Finances’ Helen Loveless, BirdsEye’s Steve Challouma, Scholl’s Mita Shaha, TJX Europe’s Darren Smith, ITV’s Jane Stiller, Financial Times’ Jane Stiller and many more.

Ogilvy UK had a record-breaking 2022. The agency asked men to “Have A Word” for the Mayor of London to combat misogyny, packaged condoms as seed packets to tackle the rise of STIs in seniors for Relate, and their Sainsbury’s SmartShop campaign helped people through the cost-of-living crisis.

D&AD named Ogilvy UK the top ad agency in the UK and the third best in the world. One Show also named them number one. Ogilvy UK was the only UK agency to win a coveted Glass Lion at Cannes, they won 10 golds and the Grand Prix at the DMA Awards, 11 golds at the Creative Circle Awards, 4 D&AD pencils, 7 Clio awards, two silvers at British Arrows, 29 One Show pencils and 10 LIA awards - making Ogilvy UK the most awarded agency across Europe. They also won Best Large Agency and four further awards at the PR Week Awards. And last but by no means least, they were also the most awarded agency at the Influencer Marketing Awards - for the 4th year running.
