In this new Maltesers campaign from AMV BBDO and Biscuit, director Clay Weiner uses humour to show that disabled people are just like the rest of us. Airing during the Paralympics opening ceremony, the three spots are based on relatably awkward real-life stories and feature disabled actors. “New Boyfriend” navigates getting physical with a new partner, “Dance Floor” conveys an unfortunate wedding moment, and “Theo’s Dog” – which features deaf actors communicating in sign language and will initially air sans subtitles – captures a mishap with a friend’s dog.
