Andrés Astorquiza, known as “Astor”, graduated in Colombia as a professional publicist in 2004. Since that moment, he ́s led different teams and working together, they ́ve received the most important global business and creativity awards. Astor is a passionate person for what he does, he is self-demanding, perseverant, constant, hard-working and always is looking forward to do his best. He enjoys to work in a team and to lead to get the desired results. Even when he has had to performed different roles in 4 countries led him to the management, but he always continue creating and designing.

He started his career at Young & Rubicam Colombia back in 2004. His first position was as Art Director and then as Creative Director. Six years later, he got a new position through WPP and he was moved to Ogilvy Colombia as Creative Director. A year later, he won the first Golden Lion for Ogilvy Colombia in the history of Cannes, one of the maximum awards in the festival more important in the world of creativity and advertising. For six years, he was responsible for the creativity of Nestlé, Unilever, Mercedes-Benz, Kimberly Clark and some works for Coke (Coca-Cola).

In 2016 Astor was transferred through the network to Ogilvy Perú as Chief Creative Officer, where he has learned different topics about business, management and billing, but he ́s never stopped creating and designing. In that agency, he led creative teams for clients such as Burger King, Mapfre, Bimbo, PromPerú, and he managed to participate and he won different regional and local pitches. In 2018, he managed to position the agency as one of the most outstanding in the country with recognitions in Cannes Lions, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Lürzer’s Archive and different works for the permanent exhibition of the PosterHouse museum in New York.

At the beginning of 2019 he was moved to P4 Ogilvy Panamá as Executive Creative Director where he worked for clients such as KFC, Claro, Toyota, Pizza Hut. Working with all the teams from the agency in order to become it more digital and achieving to be the number one Panamanian agency in Cannes Lions 2019. Also, wining the first place in the most important festival of the country in 2020. In addition, recognitions of awards in WPPed Creams and The Best of Ogilvy where the best campaigns are exhibited of global network.

Finally, after 12 years in the Ogilvy network, Astor moved to VMLY&R Mexico in 2022, to work at the number 1 agency for 5 consecutive years in the Círculo Creativo de Mexico, leading more than 25 Colgate Palmolive brands, and obtaining recognitions of awards in Efiies Mexico and the Círculo de Oro.

Astor is one of the most awarded Colombian creatives. He’s won more than 200 awards and recognitions in different global festivals like Cannes Lions +10 (gold, silver, bronze lions + 25 shortlist), D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, London International Awards, Ojo de Iberoamérica, and more than 30 publications in Lürzer's Archive. Also, he ́s been a jury in different local, regional and global festivals.
