| философия | For over a century, Morton Salt has had a simple mission: to make our food taste more delicious to eat. Yet today, there’s a shocking amount of food that goes uneaten. In the U.S., roughly 40% of all food is wasted, and on a global scale, nearly 1/3 of all food is thrown away. This problem is close to Morton’s heart. Not only has salt been a food preservative for centuries, but Morton’s core aim is to encourage people to savor their food. Yet how can they do that if such a vast amount of food produced for human consumption never gets eaten in the first place? Morton decided to proactively make a commitment to send zero food waste to landfills by 2030. But their own pledge isn’t enough. Morton wanted to make food waste—a largely overlooked problem—noticed by everyone. |
