История | Applegate, the leading brand of natural and organic meat, was founded 25 years ago with a mission to "change the meat we eat." This summer, Applegate is focusing on one kind of meat in particular, the hot dog. In a humorous ad campaign, Applegate asks, “What’s in your hot dog?” It’s a question that sparks a lot of speculation, some anxiety and much hilarity in television ads depicting mothers interviewing potential cow candidates to feed their families. Magazine ads make bold statements like, “Pass the mustard, hold the hormones” and declare Applegate's hot dog “The Cleaner Wiener." “We feel the time is right to come out with this message” said Neil Leinwand, Senior VP of Marketing. “The hot dog is a great American tradition, but with all the buzz around pink slime, antibiotics and other meat scares, it’s hard for a responsible mother to know what to do. We’re here to offer her an easy, more wholesome way to feed her family food they love, and give her a bit of a laugh in the process”.
