Underground Economy spliced together audio from two of Obama's speeches -- his keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and his acceptance speech in 2008. Obama's oratory is paired with sweeping camera moves that transition seamlessly from scene to scene. Stylized patriotic imagery of America at its most beautiful -- grandiose canyons, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, Lincoln Memorial were rendered in a saturated red, white and blue color palette. The phrase "Yes We Can" and the word "Hope" appear throughout the short, reinforcing the Obama campaign's key messages.
