The alerts targeted the top 10 allergy cities with a live weather map, live weather graphic overlay, an emergency alert voiceover and videos of local parks. The alerts were triggered by ideal weather conditions ౼ including sunshine and temperatures over 68° F ౼ and sent to individuals huddled indoors on desktop computers.

So Claritin created the first ever weather alerts designed to drive people (especially allergy sufferers) sitting on their desktops inside to go outside just as the Spring weather hit. We served 285,000 dynamic weather alerts in real time, created from five elements composited dynamically – a live weather map, live weather graphic overlay, an emergency-alert voiceover, and videos of a local blooming park. By targeting the top 10 allergy cities, these alerts were triggered by ideal weather conditions including a sunny forecast and temperatures over 68℉. In addition, we leveraged a weather-triggered buy with Pandora to track users from desktop to mobile, furthering our mission of getting people outside. |
