MANAGING EDITOR
• Drive editorial vision and maintain standards during time of significant transition
• Manage editorial production process, editorial calendar and content budgets for monthly print magazine
• Perform initial, pre-proof, proof and pre-press edits to content
• Coordinate event photographers for ~12 events/month, train new hires, manage budget
• Solicit print/online pitches from and assign to team of ~12 staff/freelance writers and interns
- Hire and train interns for each semester
- Oversee and edit online events calendar, intern-written FOB and society pages content • Lead weekly production, pitch and features meetings
• Oversee monthly upload of print magazine content to website and monthly guide updates
• Work with clients to produce sponsored content as necessary for print (2-3 advertorials/month)

CONTRIBUTING CULTURE EDITOR
• Produce ~70 percent of content for ALIVEMag.com’s culture vertical (~10 stories/week)
• Curate 3 stories per week for ALIVE's Instagram
• Develop and write own culture- and civic-focused features 3x/year
• Write monthly arts and culture feature for print publication
• Represent ALIVE at relevant arts/culture/civic events
• Develop and maintain strong relationships within the arts and culture community
• Pitch and write monthly weddings & engagements and startups pages
• Saint Louis Fashion Week: coordinate event photography, interview designers and celebrities, write event recaps
